In October, after dealing with an unexpected mental health issue in our family...I saw “A Star is Born”
I sobbed throughout the entire movie. I can’t remember any movie that has impacted my life as much! The next day, I took my granddaughter.
We sat in the movie holding hands, squeezing them and looking into each other’s eyes with recognition and tears streaming down our faces.
A week later, in meditation, I felt inspired to take my granddaughters to the recording studio to record “Shallow”. I decided to also use my crystal singing bowls (that have greatly helped me manage my depression).
After that, I felt called to also create a music video in the Homestead Crater, which I now call “Project Healing”.
It is highly vulnerable and terrifying to share with the world how I have struggled with depression my entire adult life. And now I am seeing it show up as generational depression in my grandchildren.
When I saw all the teens and children in the very same psychiatric ward of the hospital I had been committed in over 35 years ago, and they were still prescribing the same thing after all those years, it lit a fire within me to do something about it.
I needed to share the many things I have learned in my passionate search for healing, instead of staying silent.
It is my hope and prayer that these techniques may be of value to those who are seeking answers to mental health.
My gift to you is a complete reference guide of the techniques I have learned over the years that have helped me make it to 60....
Without becoming another suicide statistic.
